American pianist Jeffrey Siegel enjoys a flourishing international career. He has appeared with every major American orchestra, with such conductors as Abbado, Boulez, Dutoit, Levine, Maazel, Marriner, Mehta, Slatkin, Solti, and Tennstedt, among others. Mr. Siegel also regularly performs abroad in the leading musical capitals of Europe, including London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Munich, Zurich, and Stockholm, as well as in Buenos Aires, Tel Aviv, and Tokyo.

Recent highlights include re-engagements with the orchestras of New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Cleveland, and two European tours, including appearances as piano soloist with the Berlin Philharmonic.

Mr. Siegel has appeared in summer festivals including Mostly Mozart at Lincoln Center, the Hollywood Bowl, Ravinia, Blossom, the Mann Center, Caramoor, the Minnesota Orchestra's Sommerfest, and Aspen.

Now entering his ninth season as Music Director and conductor of the Mainly Mozart Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, Mr. Siegel has also conducted orchestras in Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, and Milwaukee, among others,

Mr. Siegel's recordings include his disc (for Denon) of Rachmaninoff solo piano music, lauded by Stereo Review as a "recording of special merit," the Third Sonata of Hindemith, and the American premiere of the Piano Sonata of Henri Dutilleux (for Orion). With Leonard Slatkin and the Saint Louis Symphony, he has recorded the complete piano music of Gershwin, which continues to be a best-seller. His concerts have been broadcast by National Public Radio, and PBS has televised his performances with both the National Symphony Orchestra at Wolf Trap and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Born into a musical family in Chicago, Jeffrey Siegel studied piano with Rudolph Ganz, Rosina Lhevinne at the Juilliard School, and Ilona Kabos in London. Mr. Siegel and his wife, Laura, make their home in New York City with their children, rachel and Noah.
